Notice is hereby given that the Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) is requesting sealed proposals for furnishing all labor and performing all work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and other Contract Documents, known as KTA Contract No. 7724, Sumner and Sedgwick Counties, Kansas. TYPE OF WORK: This project on KTA (I-35) in Sumner and Sedgwick Counties is for the mill and superpave overlay from MM 26.8 to MM 50.8. Mill and Inlay, as shown in the plans, Mulvane Interchange (MM 33), Haysville-Derby Interchange (MM 39), South Wichita Interchange (MM 42), K-15 Interchange (MM 45), and East Wichita Interchange (MM 50). Construct crossovers at MM 36.0, MM 36.8, MM 39.3, MM 41.25, MM 41.6, MM 42.2, MM 47.6, MM 49.9, and MM 50.1 PRE-QUALIFICATION. Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation. Kansas Turnpike Authority Topeka at 3939 SW Topeka Boulevard, Topeka, Kansas and immediately made digitally available to all bidding parties. Facsimile bids will not be accepted. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond as required if awarded the contract. The award of each contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015, and will be based upon the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority.
