This Project will replace the existing Elko Overhead No.01305, located where Highway 3 crosses C.P. Rail in Elko, BC (GPS: 49.300337, -115.115920). The structure accommodates two lanes of traffic, two sidewalks, and pedestrian travel in front of the North Abutment. The existing bridge is comprised of a three span steel superstructure (51m long), steel braced frame piers, and is founded on spread footings. The Ministry has previously completed the conceptual structural replacement design (for the bridge and a pedestrian tunnel) and completed the functional design of the replacement alignment.
