The project generally consists of the construction of roadway embankments and placement of surcharge material The scope of work on the project will consist of the demolition and removal of existing features and utilities, installation of settlement plates and instrumentation, drainage pipes and structures, and all associated work and appurtenances as contained in the Contract Documents as ordered by the Engineer. TIME FOR COMPLETION of this Contract is 345 calendar days No bids may be Submitted Electronically Proposal sheets in Section C of the Contract Documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked on the outside with the words BID, CONTRACT NO. 20-12-MPN8, DUE DATE FEBRUARY 23, 2021 - 10:00 A.M., the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the work, addressed to the Executive Director, Jersey City Redevelopment Agency and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the JCRA. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the Bid, but not more than $20,000.00, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder.
