Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Contract generally consists of all work associated with Volume I and Volume II including all civil; process mechanical; structural; ventilating; electrical and instrumentation for Volume I - Sanitary Lift Station and Volume II - Spill Containment. The work in this contract consists of the construction of constructing approximately 460 linear feet of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer, approximately 4,450 linear feet of 3-inch diameter force main, one sanitary lift station, chemical trench and piping, stormwater treatment system and chemical spill containment structures including Electrical. Included, but not limited to, are all manholes, piping installed by open-cut and trenchless methods, and all other work required to complete the Work. Decommissioning and abandonment/demolition of an existing sanitary lift station, force main, and septic tanks and leach fields. Sealed proposals and MWBE Good Faith Efforts must be submitted on the blank forms provided and as specified in the bound copies of the contract documents. The bid shall be enclosed in two different sealed envelopes addressed to Mr. Ted Barker, Engineering Division, 300 West Washington Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Mailing costs will be $25.00 per set or charged to the contractor's shipping account. Any Contractor bidding on the project must obtain Contract Documents from the OWNER at the above address. A list of plan holders is available from the OWNER. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City, unless at the time of its filing, the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina, under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. City of Greensboro personnel will discuss MWBE requirements and the ENGINEER will be available to discuss the Contract and answer pertinent questions. Attendance is strongly encouraged. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
