As of January 13, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. A consultant was awarded to provide a feasibility study. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to December 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Middletown is seeking, through this request for proposals (RFP), a provider to complete a feasibility study for safety improvements, noise abatement and lead remediation at its Law Enforcement Firing Range located at 260 Meriden Road, Middletown, CT. The City is soliciting proposals from qualified providers with proven expertise in the design and implementation of federal and municipal firing ranges. Interested bidders that do not follow these recommendations will be asked to leave. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting in person or by representative. Qualification Statements, amendments to or withdrawals of qualification statements received after the time set for the receipt of proposals will not be considered. The City of Middletown reserves the right to waive any defect in any qualification statement and reserves the right to reject any or all qualification statements or any part thereof. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
