**As of January 22, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. It is expected to be awarded next week. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 83' L. x 7.5' W. Sidewalk along businesses fronting the west side of North Washington Street, complete in place, 150' L. x 10' W. Sidewalk along businesses fronting the west side of North Washington, complete in place, 93' L. x 12' W. Sidewalk along businesses fronting the north side of East Fayette Street, complete in place, 78' L. x 10' W. Sidewalk along businesses fronting the north side of East Fayette Street, complete in place, 310' L. x 9 W. Sidewalk along businesses fronting North Live Oak Street, complete in place, 3,240 SF of Sidewalks around the courthouse, complete in place, 9' L. x 5' W. ADA Ramp (west side) complete in place, 9' L. x 5' W. ADA Ramp (west side) complete in place, 15' x 3' W. ADA Ramp (north side) complete in place, 17' x 5' W. ADA Ramp (east side) complete in place, 7.5' L. x 6" W. Curb Replacement (south side), complete in place, and Alternate Bid Item: 188' L. x 3' W. Sidewalk along the south side of State Highway 159 complete in place. Work is in historic area and subject to Texas Historical Commission Construction Requirements and ADA Requirements. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Fayetteville or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Bids may be held by City of Fayetteville for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
