Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Somerville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of January 05, 2021, the anticipated construction start date and completion date are not yet determined at this time. The scope project includes reconstruction of existing pavement, replacing of driveways, and resetting of the existing slate curb of N. Middaugh Street from West End Avenue to Altamont Place. The scope also includes ADA ramps to be constructed at both ends of the project and traffic striping. The cost of the Police traffic directors will be directly paid by the Borough of Somerville and the removed catch basin grates will remain the property of the Borough, the grates delivered to the Somerville DPW. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Kevin Sluka, Clerk-Administrator, Municipal Office, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. The sealed bids can be received in the following ways: 1) on December 16, 2020 BEFORE 10:00 A.M. or prior to that date, sealed bids can be delivered to the walkup window located at the top of the ramp during business hours 8:30a.m. 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday or ringing the doorbell at the front door and an employee will accept the bid submission. 2) via United States Postal Service or private delivery service (ie. messenger service, FedEx, UPS). However it must be received prior to the bid date and time to be accepted. The opening of the bids will be conducted electronically via video and telephonic means through the use of Go-To Meeting platform. There will not be any in-person contact during the opening of the bids. The title of the bid shall be clearly announced, and each sealed bid package shall be displayed, back and front, for the camera prior to the bids being opened. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to Somerville Borough Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposal received and to accept the bid in which in their judgment will best serve the interest of the Borough. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of PL 1975, Chapter 127.
