The City of Sarasota is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the modification and rehabilitation of the Zabocs Bio-Trickling Filter H2S stripper system at the water treatment facility located at 1642 12th Street, Sarasota, FL 34236. The system is designed for H2S removal for process air. Objectives of the project include: Remove and replace two isolation dampers, remove and replace two blowers, install two blower filter housings with new filters, and modify existing molded fiberglass ductwork and housings to add flanged connections for the new equipment and connection points into the existing ductwork. This includes total amount to complete the project. This includes but is not limit to: 1. Materials 2. Labor 3. Permitting 4. All cost require to complete the project. Q & A deadline: Jan 06, 2021 5:00:00 PM EST Contract Term: Until Project completion 3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND DELIVERABLES a. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment labor, supervision, and materials to complete the project in a timely fashion. The water plant is an active treatment plant and one bio-trickling filter must always remain in service. i. Contractor shall have prior experience in the installation of odor control systems including FRP pipe installation and modifications, ventilation systems, and electrical components of similar capacity. ii. Contractor is responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. iii. Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits prior to commencing work. Copies of such permits shall be provided to the City of Sarasota. Any permit fees shall be a reimbursable cost included in the contractor's invoice to the City. iv. Contractor shall maintain work and materials storage areas free from accumulation of waste materials/trash caused by construction activities. v. Contractor shall be responsible for the proper transport and disposal of any waste materials generated by the project. vi. Contractor will submit a testing plan for approval by the City to demonstrate the system performs within the specified standards. vii. All repairs to any infrastructure component necessitated by project activities shall be approved by the City prior to such work tasks being performed. viii. All performance test reports shall include professional level conclusions and recommendations. ix. Contractor shall submit layout drawings to ensure configuration is as expected. x. All work shall be performed in accordance with appropriate and applicable City, State, and Federal standards. xi. Contractor shall provide a one-year warranty on all parts and labor.
