The County of Calaveras will receive sealed bids for the Schadd Road Bridge Project, Federal-Aid Project No. #BRLO-5930(067). The estimated cost of contract work is $2,469,000. This project, generally described, consists of bridge and approach roadway construction at the crossing of Schadd Road over Forest Creek near West Point, CA. The bridge is 75' long by 24' wide with cast-in-place concrete box girder superstructure. Approximately 335' of roadway needs to be reconstructed to connect existing roadway with new bridge. Foundation plan calls for spread footings. Schadd Road is to remain open during construction by using the existing bridge for traffic, and then shifting traffic onto the replacement bridge once constructed.
