Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Hauppauge, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project will fund the repair and replacement of the HVAC system in the 100,000 square foot Forensic Sciences Building. This project will replace eleven air handlers, autopsy tables, fume hoods, generator, boilers and windows. The existing roof will be replaced with a new, composite concrete roof. A temporary lab modular facility will also be constructed and the old 4th Precinct will be turned into construction offices. Other work includes all new ceilings on the first and second floors along with new electrical, plumbing and fire protection upgrades. Additional improvements include renovated space on the second floor, rewiring for data and phone services, replace air compressors, vacuum pump, UPS, and air conditioning unit for the server room. This project is included in Suffolk County fiscal years 2023-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of July 26, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.
