Demolition, site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Anchorage, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
This would replace Fire Stations #8 and #10 on the Upper Hillside of Anchorage. This will be a relocation that will require land acquisition. Consolidation of response resources on the Upper Hillside would improve efficiencies and reduce operational cost. Fire Stations #8 and #10 each house an engine company and a tender. Fire Station #10 has a long history of well water problems and has delivered bottled drinking water. This project is include in the Municipality of Anchorage's 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 21, 2025, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
