Bid Bond - 5% The Town Board of the Town of southampton reserves the right to waive and informalities in bids received and/or reject any or all bids All contract requirements for this project must be substantially complete and fully functional before memorial day - May 21 2021 The site of the project is at the existing comfort station at 1055 Flying Point Road, Southampton, in Town of Southampton, New York. SCOPE A. The work to be performed under this Contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals required to perform the proposed construction as indicated in the Specifications, shown on the Contract Drawings and/or as approved by the Engineer. B. The scope includes the replacement of the existing guard booth and alteration of the existing comfort station. In general, the work shall include, but not be limited to, supply and install the following: o The facility will be closed during construction operations. Coordinate with the Town for Parking Lot access; o Verify all impacted existing conditions; o Demolish existing Guard Booth and provide new Guard Booth; o Preserve and reconnect existing electric meter and telephone connection to new Guard Booth; o remove existing concrete guide rail system and replace with new timber ACQ guide rail system at guard booth; o remove and replace toilet room fixtures and accessories; o remove and replace existing roof with new warrantied shingle roof system; o remove and replace existing comfort station interior finishes with new floor wall and ceiling finishes; o remove existing comfort station lighting and replace with new LED lighting fixtures; o move existing comfort station guard rails at deck and replace with new IPE guard rails; o Remove existing stairs and replace with new IPE stairs and railings. o Remove existing ADA ramp and replace with new IPE ADA ramp and railings. o Add mahogany lattice at building crawl space perimeter. o Provide hardscape and landscape at base of comfort station stairs as indicated. o Remove existing comfort station decking and replace with new 2x6 IPE decking where indicated. o Extend lifeguard storage room at comfort station; o Remove loose paint prime and paint comfort station siding and exterior millwork. o Replace all existing guard booth and comfort station signage with new signage o Remove and replace wood decking and wood rails at dune crossover. o Remove and dispose of all job-related materials at the end of the project; o Warranty. C. The work covered under these Divisions shall be bid as (1) one Contract: Contract A - General Construction (includes all work) D. Contractor shall submit a computer generated critical point method schedule indicating all items of work under their contract.
