Site work and new construction of a civil project in Greencastle, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project Number- 2020-118, 20-13 Plum #F The Project includes the following Work: Division A- Water Treatment Facility* Scope of work includes the existing water treatment facility equipment, which Includes one packaged filter treatment unit, two vertical pressure fitters, two high service pumps, chlorine gas disinfection system, and associated process piping and electrical. Work shall also include the construction of a new water treatment facility with new lab, restroom, two (2) vertical pressure filters, two (2) high service pumps, cast-in-place concrete detention tank with induced draft aerator, air scrubber unit, chlorine gas disinfection system, as well as all onsite piping, electrical, controls, and site restoration. Division B - Distribution System: Base Bid: The Base Bid Scope of work includes the installation of approximately 24,500 lineal feet of new 6" and 4" water main throughout the VanBibber Lake Conservancy District community, replacing the majority of the existing water distribution system. The contractor shall also install approximately 95 new valves and 51 new hydrant assemblies. Work also Includes installation of approximately 17,250 lineal feet of new water service lines from the new water main to the residence, including work within easements on private property. Along with the water service lines, approximately 431 new water meter pits and assemblies shall also be installed. The water meters shall be a fixed mesh network AMI system. This division of work also Includes all pavement restoration, maintenance of traffic, seeding and strawing, and all other work to construct the project as generally intended. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter Into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notification. Approved performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required of the Contractor at the time he executes his contract. The bond will be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from the date of substantial completion. ivision A - Water Treatment Facility i) Base Bid o Demolition of (2) vertical pressure filters o Demolition of (1) packaged gravity filter treatment unit o Demolition of the existing chlorine gas disinfection system o Demolition of existing process piping, valves, pumps, and controls within the existing WTP building o Repair of the roofing structure of the existing water treatment facility once the gravity filter unit has been removed. o Construction of a new split face block water treatment facility building, complete with all HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls o Installation of (2) new vertical pressure filters o Installation of (2) new high service pumps o Installation of new chlorine gas disinfection system with chlorine scrubber system o Construction of a new cast-in-place concrete detention tank with induced draft aerator o Installation of process piping, valves, fittings, pipe supports, etc. within the new WTP building o Conversion of existing building into a garage via installation of a new overhead door and removal of the old chlorine room walls o Installation of new standby generator o New SCADA integration at the new treatment facility, at the existing wells, and at the existing elevated tank o As well as all related site piping, site grading, and site restoration o Contractor is responsible for field locating utilities (exploratory excavation) o Contractor shall provide a underground utility locating system, as outlined in the specifications o All water main and water service lines shall be installed with tracer wire b) Division B - Distribution System i) Base Bid o Installation of approximately 16,900 lineal feet of 6" water main and 7,200 lineal feet of 4" water main (PVC or ductile iron water main) o Installation of approximately 431 new water meters, pits, and setters o Installation of approximately 17,250 lineal feet of new water service lines from the new water main to within 5 feet of the existing dwellings. o Installation of approximately 95 gate valves o Installation of approximately 51 hydrant assemblies o All pavement, sidewalk, drive, and lawn restoration o Abandonment of the existing water mains, valves, hydrants, and water service lines.
