The Construction Contract will be awarded in compliance with Salt Lake City's Building Improvement and Public Works Bidding Program which takes into account certain factors in the Bidder's work environment (See Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115) (See Document 00 22 16, Article 1.2, paragraph "A" for a link to the City Code). Specific meeting instructions will be found on SciQuest prior to the meeting. Attendance is highly encouraged. All contractors intending to submit a bid are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project. Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, Scope of Work, etc. may be discussed. OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the pre-bid conference to Bidders who do not attend. Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to street improvements (i.e. replacement of concrete flatwork, ADA ramps, and curb & gutter; asphalt pavement), water main upgrades, sewer main upgrades and storm drainage upgrades. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
