Renovation of a municipal facility in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Scope of Work include but may not be limited to: Replacement of all damaged drywalls to match existing; 0.5in thick Type X drywall. Prepping (sanding, cleaning, patching/caulking, drying, priming and 2 topcoats of approved paint) of walls, ceilings, trims, baseboard heater covers and wood baseboards in various areas. Removal of signs and boards. Main Floor Prep and paint door of STORAGE room 109A on the main floor with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, ceilings including bulkheads, trims, and baseboard heater cover in W.C. 110 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, ceilings (excluding popcorn ceiling), trims, wood baseboards, and baseboard heater covers in ACTIVITY room 107 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Remove the unpainted wood trim from the window in KITCHEN 112. Replace damaged drywall behind the fridge in KITCHEN 112 with new drywall to match existing. Prep and paint walls, ceilings including bulkheads, trims, interior and exterior jamb extension of windows, interior of the cabinets to the right side of the sink, and interior of the sink base cabinet in KITCHEN 112 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. (Use same paint colour for walls, ceilings, and trims). Remove white board from the wall in DINING room 106. Prep and paint walls (including chalkboard wall), ceilings including bulkheads (excluding popcorn ceiling), trims, wood baseboards, and baseboard heater covers in DINING room 106 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Refinish wooden cubbies in front of OFFICE room 113. Prep and paint walls, trims, interior and exterior jamb extension of windows and baseboard heater covers in OFFICE room 113 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Note that there will be a bulkhead (~12ft by 12ft) at the time of painting the facility that needs to be prepped and painted with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint in OFFICE room Remove painted wood art and tv wall mount from the wall in LIVING room 105. Prep and paint walls, trims, wood baseboards, and baseboard heater covers in LIVING room 105 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, ceilings, trims, wood baseboards, and interior jamb extension of window in VEST 101 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint door of STORAGE room 102 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Remove the 4D NORTH signs and hangers along CORRIDOR 104 (located before VEST101). Replace damaged drywall by east side entrance along CORRIDOR 104 (~12ft x 4ft of drywall will be replaced) with new drywall to match existing. Prep and paint walls, ceilings including bulkheads, trims, wood baseboards, and baseboard heater cover along CORRIDOR 104 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Refinish wooden bench and wood coat rack by east side entrance along CORRIDOR 104. Stairs Prep and paint wooden stringers and wood baseboards along STAIR 1 and STAIR 2 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint baseboard heater cover by the landing of STAIR 1 and STAIR 2 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Refinish the handrails and wooden benches along STAIR 1 and STAIR 2. Prep and paint walls, ceilings, and trims at STAIR 1 and STAIR 2 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint plywood panel along STAIR 2 landing with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Upper Floor Replace damaged drywall with new drywall (~16ft by 4ft of drywall will be replaced) to match existing along CORRIDOR 201. Prep and paint walls, ceilings including bulkhead (excluding popcorn ceiling), trims, wood baseboards, and baseboard heater cover along CORRIDOR 201 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Refinish wooden benches along CORRIDOR 201. Replace damaged drywall with new drywall (~4ft by 12ft of drywall will be replaced) to match existing, then prep and paint walls, trims, and baseboard heater covers in SLEEPING room 202 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Remove notice board from wall and hanger behind the door. Replace damaged drywall with new drywall (~24ft by 4ft of drywall will be replaced) to match existing, then prep and paint door, walls, trims, and baseboard heater covers in SLEEPING room 207 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Replace damaged drywall with new drywall (~4ft x 10ft and ~4ft by 4ft of drywall will be replaced) to match existing, then prep and paint walls, trims, and baseboard heater covers in SLEEPING room 203 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Re-glue rubber baseboard in SLEEPING room 208. Remove notice board and hanger from wall. Replace damaged drywall with new drywall (~8ft x 4ft of drywall will be replaced) to match existing, then prep and paint walls, trims, and baseboard heater covers in SLEEPING room 208 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, ceiling, trims, built in shelves and baseboard heater coversin LAUNDRY room 204 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, trims, and baseboard heater coversin SLEEPING room 209 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, stall doors and frames, ceilings including bulkheads, trims, and baseboard heater covers in W.C. 205 and W.C. 206 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Prep and paint walls, ceilings, trims, and baseboard heater cover in W.C. 211 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. Remove adhoc wall and hangers in HOUSEPARENTS room 210. Prep and paint walls including closet, ceilings (excluding popcorn ceiling), trims, and baseboard heater covers in HOUSEPARENTS room 210 with 1 primer coat and 2 topcoats of approved paint. After completion of all works, clean and handover the facility to the Owner / client in good condition with their full satisfaction. Note: For your information, photographs of the facility are attached as Appendix A. The floor plans of the facility are shown in Appendix B (Drawing No. A-2). The following rooms are not to be painted i) Pantry room 111 ii) Storage room 102 iii) Storage room 109A iv) Mechanical room 108 The ceiling heights of the rooms on the main and upper floor are approximately 8ft.
