Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of March 8, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 13, 2021. After the close of the bid opening, the bid package of the apparent low bidder will be fully scanned and posted to the Township's website. All work on this contract shall be completed within one-hundred twenty (120) calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. UTT-059A The Work of this Contract includes but is not limited to the installation of concrete curb, aprons, sidewalk, handicap ramps, drainage structures, sanitary sewer repairs, milling and asphalt paving and restoration of the project area. Contract Documents and Drawings are available in the office of the Township Purchasing Department located in the Union Township Municipal Building, 1976 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. If picking up bids at the Municipal Building, bidders must contact the Purchasing Agent by phone (908)851-5464 when they arrive at the building and someone will bring the bid package outside to you. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) payable to Maser Consulting, P.A. to defray the cost thereof. The contract documents are not available in electronic format. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the work on the outside; addressed to Mayor and Township Committee, Township of Union and must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Treasurer of the Township of Union for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of the project is required. The award of the contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Union in a lawful manner. The Township of Union or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will be accepted only from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township of Union. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et. seq.). B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et. seq). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1). Moreover, the bid must be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, C.33, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2).
