Seagull Habitat Modification project at WRRF is intended to address the Seagull nesting challenges at this site by removing the existing grass/asphalt/gravel and planting native grasses. This project will also help to address the issue of water ponding at the Electrical Substation at this property by building a swale. The Work shall include: 1) Removal of the top 4-inches of existing topsoil in the unpaved areas and replace with amended existing soil/topsoil mix per existing and proposed soil profiles. 2) Removal of the top 6-inches of existing topsoil in the gravel and asphalt pavement areas and replace with amended existing soil/topsoil mix per existing and proposed soil profiles. 3) The finished grade shall match existing grade. 4) Offsite disposal of soil per federal, state and local environmental requirements. 5) Planting of native tallgrass prairie seed mix per Landscape Construction Notes and Specifications. If necessary, seeding shall be completed before the seagull inhabit the area. 6) Providing positive drainage (swale) along the eastern border with a slope of at least 0.5% so that no water shall be ponding near EB 4. 7) Working with care so that EB 4 is not damaged, along with the 6-inch water valve box and other utilities in the area. 8) Securing and payment for all permits (if any), and any associated fees necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work.
