Base Bid - The project consists of supplying all materials, equipment (except where noted as City-Furnished), labor, and appurtenances required to furnish and apply a high friction surface treatment onto the existing asphalt pavement; removal and construction of concrete access ramps; removal, salvaging of signs and posts; and installation of new traffic signal equipment at 7 intersections. The traffic signal work includes installing city-furnished four-camera video/radar detection systems. Work also includes installation of city-furnished processors in existing traffic signal cabinets required for new video/radar sensors and city-furnished cabling (CAT-5E) for each new video/radar sensor. Additive Alternate - Additive Alternate involves removal of existing traffic signal cabinets and installation of city-furnished Type 333L cabinet assemblies with new ATC Controller Units on existing foundations. Other Details The work shall be done in accordance with the project's plans and contract documents, Caltrans' Standard Plans and Specifications (latest edition), and the City's standard plans, including any or all supplements or addenda thereto issued prior to bid opening date.
