Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 170,000-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility; and for the addition of a 15,500-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

Plans called for the renovation & addition of the library. Work included renovation of the ground level, first - third floors and a 15,500 square foot three-story addition. The scope of work highlights a new stair tower addition, raised plaza, HVAC system upgrades, abatement, new efficient lighting, windows, roofing, elevator modernizations and replacement, archives & special collections, offices, data lab, group study & workrooms, and curated collections area. The project was completed in phases. The first phase, which consisted of demolition, infrastructure, and fit-out of the fourth floor was completed by Burchick Construction. The remaining phases 2-4 were handled by Rycon Construction. Estimate = total project construction cost estimate.
