Site work for a water / sewer project in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be performed under this Contract generally consists of the internal repair of designated sections of the Authority's sanitary sewage collection/conveyance system located within Montgomery Township. Specifically, this project includes the relining of approximately 883 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe by cured-in-place (CIPP) inversion lining, including the complete relining of 27 manholes and reinstatement of approximately 7 sanitary sewer lateral connections in designated locations. The work will occur in Township roadways and Authority easement areas. The Contractor will be responsible for maintenance and control of traffic while working in the roadway. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 1/26/2021 4:00 PM In addition, the project includes alternate/add-on items that will be considered by the Authority during review of bid proposals. The alternate/add-on items include the complete lining of approximately 16 manholes. The Authority reserves the right, at their discretion, to select any/all, or combination of, the potential alternate/add-on items for the purpose of awarding this Contract for this project. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices to be considered for award by the Authority at their option after review of the bid amounts. The project is funded in part through a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Agency - PA Small Water and Sewer Program. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Authority. The bidder's attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to this Contract, if the estimated cost of the project is in excess of $25,000 and that the successful bidder shall pay no less than the wage rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety issued by companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the prescribed forms dated the date of the Contract, or separate Federal or Commonwealth chartered lending institution irrevocable letters of credit in a form accepted and approved by the Authority, or separate restrictive or escrow accounts with such lending institutions pursuant to an escrow agreement accepted and approved by the Authority, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to secure (a) the faithful performance and maintenance of the Contract; and (b) the prompt payment of materials and labor.
