Location The Public Safety Communications Tower Project is located off Spurwink Avenue on the westerly side of Dennison Drive and southerly of the Transfer Station gate. A new access drive will be constructed as part of the project improvements to the new tower compound. Scope of Work The work includes: Installation of a gravel access drive and a 60-foot by 60-foot crushed stone surfaced compound enclosed by an 8-foot tall chain link fence and gate, electrical power improvements, installation of a new 180-foot tall public safety communications tower and concrete support building on a concrete pad, installation of diesel generator on a concrete pad, and associated work as shown on contract drawings and documents. The contractor shall make note of the schedule requirements presented in the contract documents. The Town has established a start date after April 1, 2021 the project shall be Substantially Complete and invoiced to the Town by June 30, 2021 and 100-percent complete by July 16, 2021. The successful bidder must furnish within 10 calendar days after the Notice of Award the listing of subcontractors, suppliers or entities for the work listed in Supplementary Condition SC-7.06 for the review and acceptance Engineer and Owner and the required number of copies of the signed Agreement, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, Insurance Policy and begin execution of this contract within 10 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The General Contractor shall be responsible for the full amount the 100% Performance Bond and the 100% Payment Bonds. Combining bonds of subcontractors is not acceptable. Failure of the successful bidder to complete the pre-award requirements of this program may result in finding that the bidder is non-responsible and therefore not entitled to award of this contract.
