The Housing Authority of the City of Orange Request for RFQ for Architectural/Master Planning Services for the Chapman Street and Central Place Redevelopment The Orange Housing Development Corporation and the Housing Authority of the City of Orange is pleased to issue this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural / Master Planning Services for the Chapman Street and the Central Place Revitalization. This Development is currently composed of 2 Vacant lots and 1 occupied single-family house on Chapman Street (7500 SF). It also has 2 vacant lots on Central Place (5,000 SF). The lots are located on Chapman St and Central Place in the City of Orange. The Orange Housing Development Corporation and the Housing Authority of the City of Orange is inviting interested Architectural/Master Planning firms with experience in the master planning and design of mixed-income residential communities to submit statements of qualifications for the master planning and urban design of the site. The Corporation intends to work with the Architectural / Master Planning firm to develop a fully integrated mixed income development that will involve, affordable housing units and market-rate housing units. The Corporation would like to identify a candidate that has significant previous experience in master planning and designing the redevelopment of housing sites from start to finish. The successful applicant should also have significant experience with developing consensus between the municipality, the Housing Authority, Nonprofits, the neighborhood, and current residents. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
