Renovation of a residential development in Woburn, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Project consists of: Six storey MRL elevator addition including new lobbies and building entrances attached to an existing six storey housing block. Upgrade to existing six stop hydraulic elevator. Includes new enclosure, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Woburn Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA . T h e c o m b i n e d participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED. New elevator, lobby and entrance attached to existing multi-story housing. Existing elevator upgrade. Site Improvements. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A Work Included: Provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work of this Section, including but not limited to the following: 1. Footings. Cast-in-place concrete, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete materials, mixture design, placement procedures and finishes for the following applications: Foundation walls. Slabs-on-grade. Suspended slabs. Concrete toppings. Cutting and patching of mechanical and electrical penetrations through cast-in place concrete.
