Estimated Project Value: $50,000 - $100,000. The project consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 6,173 sq. ft. of concrete and replacing per Boro specs. The existing sidewalk has been field marked for removal. Contractor shall visit site prior to bidding to understand work to be performed. The Borough has determined that this work is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act ( 43 P. S. 165-1 - 165-17 ) and the Contractor shall pay at least the wage rates as determined in the decision of the Secretary of Labor and Industry and shall comply with the conditions of the act approved August 15, 1961, and the regulations issued thereto, to assure the full and proper payment of the rates. A Wage Determination report has been prepared and included with the bidding documents. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Borough reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2016, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Subcontractors must pre-qualify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if Bidder subsequently undertakes the partial or total construction of one or more items of work.
