The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and consists full interior demolition and abatement of Floors 7-11 and minor selective demolition of Floors 2-6. General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by (1) a Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM, showing that the general contractor has been approved in General Building Construction to bid on projects the size and nature of that advertised, and (2) an Update Statement summarizing the general contractor's record for the period between the latest DCAMM certification and the date the general contractor submits its bid. Bidders are hereby notified that bid deposits must be 5% of his/her bid and shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check and made payable to the City of Boston. A performance bond and labor and materials payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, of a surety company licensed to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and included on the U.S. Treasury current list of approved sureties, in the sum of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder.
