Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Richmond, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project is located in Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 229 in Fort Bend County, Texas (Fort Bend County Key Map No. 524 N). The site work contractor is responsible for all site work, including but not limed to clearing and grubbing of the site; demolition and replacement of existing wood fence; construction of force main piping, yard piping, effluent piping and manholes; site work; crushed concrete roads and IWTP pads; a steel elevated headworks structure with manual bar screen and flow-splitting weirs, protective coatings, underground piping at Train Nos. 3 & 4; concrete pads and sidewalks; swales, culverts, and inlets; new electrical service; service entrance equipment; diesel generator and automatic transfer switch; underground duct banks; pull boxes; bollards; site grading; all associated electrical and site work; facility start-up in its entirety; and all else specified and shown in the construction documents and not specifically addressed in lease agreement, complete in place for a fully functioning plant. The lease of the 400,000 gallon per day interim package wastewater treatment plant facilities, tertiary filtration facilities, and dechlorination facilities shall include delivery and assembly of the facilities with all accessories and equipment; including aeration basins; multi-stage digester units; final clarifiers; chlorine contact basins; non-potable water systems; chlorination equipment and chlorination buildings; tertiary filters and backwash pumps; dechlorination equipment (including dechlorination induction pumps); dechlorination feed equipment building; eyewash and safety showers with canopies; walkways, bridges, and handrails; air diffusion equipment; air lifts; flow measurement equipment; blowers; aboveground interconnecting piping, valves, fittings, supports; hose bibbs; control panels for equipment including the blowers, clarifier, non-potable water system, chlorination equipment and effluent flow measurement; tertiary filters, dechlorination equipment, dechlorination induction pumps, lighting, and all other electrical plant devices; plant lighting; and electrical wiring (including wiring to the service rack); and all accessories, equipment, piping, etc. within the plant, complete as specified. Within the lease scope is all the plant related functions from the stub up for the screened influent piping upstream of the aeration basins and the stub up for the effluent piping downstream of the chlorine contact basins; from the stub ups upstream and downstream of the tertiary filters; and dechlorination feed equipment, induction pumps and everything in between. The installation of the leased facilities shall be the responsibility of the lease plant vendor. Installation includes all delivery, installation and start-up. The site work contractor shall coordinate with the lease plant vendor for all connections and slab dimensions. At the leased facilities, the site work contractor is responsible for all site work shown in the construction drawings including all work not associated with the leased facilities. However, the site work contractor is responsible for concrete slabs and pads, and all buried piping located within the limits of the proposed leased facilities. All buried piping shall be installed with a flanged stub-up approximately 18-inches (18") above finished grade at all locations or connected to the buried clarifier hopper for piping coming from the clarifiers. The site work contractor shall perform all electrical work including connection from a new electrical service to the service rack including all aboveground conduit and wire to pads. The plant lease contractor is responsible for all electrical work downstream of the local control panels, including the control panels. The site work contractor is responsible for all underground duct bank work and all other electrical work from the main service rack to the local control panels. The site work contractor is responsible for coordination with plant lessor firm to coordinate pipe and electrical connections, buried pipe locations, deliveries and schedules. The site work contractor is responsible for all work including, but not limited to, a twelve-foot (12') diameter concrete lift station wet well complete with three (3) submersible pumps with all accessories, riser piping, valves, coatings and supports; lift station automatic transfer switch, wiring starters, breakers, control panels and all other associated electrical work; site grading; and all else specified and shown on the construction documents, complete in place for a fully functioning lift station, complete as specified. In ample time to permit consideration before reply, submit questions about bidding instruments to the Engineer. Questions will not be considered after 12:00 p.m., noon, three (3) calendar days prior to bidding. Each bid must be accompanied by either a two percent (2%) certified or cashier's check or a five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Make the cashier's check or bid bonds payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are open. Bidder must be capable of executing a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond for 100 percent (100%) of the contract sum in accord with the conditions of the contract.
