Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Oakdale, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a swimming pool; for the construction of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
The general construction bid for this project shall consist of all labor, materials, equipment, plant services, incidentals, and administrative tasks required to complete the general construction work necessary for the reconstruction of Byron Lake Pool. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or part, to waive any formality and/or informality in any or all bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town.. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected, or at least two (2) bids are not received, the Department of Purchasing is authorized to re-advertise for bids.
