Byrd, P.E. 281-377-8753 elizabeth.byrd@freese.com 1.This Project consists of a 14-inch force main from the discharge of Lift Station No. 5 to the manhole at Texas and W. Medical Center. The length of the force main is approximately 1,950 ft. and will follow Blossom to Texas and continue southeast along Texas Ave. on the northeast side of the road. 2. Reconstruct pavement, curb, storm sewer, sidewalk and driveways along Blossom (North Half) between Texas Ave. and Live Oak St. 3. Alternate Bid: Reconstruct pavement, curb, storm sewer, sidewalk and driveways along Blossom (South Half) between Texas Ave. and Live Oak St. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner within 15 days of Notice of Award of the Contract. The security must be payable to Owner in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid submitted. Contractor must execute the Contract, bonds, and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the Contract Documents. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required. The Owner reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices, to reject any or all Bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days from date on which bids are opened.
