FHWA: TEA-302-7(001 C09143C-10 The project proposes to construct Phase 2 of the Stanardsville Downtown Streetscape Improvements by extending sidewalks previously installed as part of the Phase 1 project to both the east and west. Sidewalks will be constructed along the north side of Main Street from Rectory Lane to Madison Road and from Celt Road to an existing sidewalk at 8315 Spotswood Trail. Improvements include sidewalks, curbs, a pedestrian bridge, site walls, storm sewer, lighting, and landscaping. The total length of the improvements is 1,215 linear feet. Specifications are included in the bid package. Project funding is provided by FHWA and VDOT. The notice-to-proceed for this project will be given within sixty (60) days of the bid opening. This project is federally funded. The Virginia Department of Transportation has established a 12% DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) requirement for the construction contract.
