Selective demolition and construction necessary for the Modernization to existing school buildings, including associated civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical work as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Repair of the existing path of travel (concrete walkways and paths) 2. Repair / repave and re-striping of the existing parking lot inclusive of access compliance walkways, parking stalls, various signage and droughtresistant landscape 3. New accessible drop-off and pedestrian walkways, inclusive of droughtresistant landscape project will involve the "phasing" and barricading of work areas as indicated on the Plans and enumerated in these Specifications. 4. Restrooms accessibility upgrades at building 400 and 500 5. Classroom-sink accessibility upgrades at building 400 and 500 6. Replacement of two (2) non-compliant drinking fountains 7. Associated required mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire-alarm infrastructure 8. Hardware replacement at existing doors: with automatic battery operated door-lock 9. Chain link protective fence and gates at parking areas, inclusive of approved hardware. 10. Complete reroofing of the following buildings 100, 1000, 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 (and associated covered walkways) 11. Removal/demolition of the existing built-up roofing system and assembly, including related metal flashings and complete associated components, up to the structural decking which is to remain. 12. Removal / demolition of the existing gutters and downspouts, as indicated on the demolition plans. 13. Construction of a new built-up class -a roofing system, comprised of a 2-ply roof membrane system over cover board per details and specifications. the new roofing system will require minor adjustments, at various locations, of existing roof-slopes and water-runoffs to rectify existing (roof) drainage issues.
