Demolition is defined as the demolition and removal of building, basements, foundations and the demolition and removal of site improvements, the removal of asbestos and final clearing of the property. Two (2) weeks prior to demolition, property shall be treated with an approved rodenticide of a safe nature. Said rodenticide shall be applied by a professional exterminator with adequate precautions. Demolition Contractor (Contractor) shall leave property leveled off to a depth of six (6) inches below grade backfilled with six (6) inches of topsoil, free and clear of all rubble and debris, and seeded, or six (6) inches of 3/4 " clean crushed stone The Atlantic County Improvement Authority is seeking qualified respondents capable of providing demolition services for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects located primarily in the City of Atlantic City, New Jersey. A pool of qualified demolition contractors will be generated from the replies submitted to this RFQ. The successful respondents included in the pool will then be invited to reply to a Request for Proposals and submit sealed bids for the demolition of properties as identified and cleared for demolition. From those replies, one respondent will be selected to produce the final product. Respondents to this RFQ shall be demolition contractors that have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the demolition of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional properties in rural and in urban settings. Respondents shall also have the capacity to demolish multiple structures within a short period of time. During performance of the work, the Respondents will be required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975; c. 127 (Affirmative Action Requirements). All correspondence during the reply period shall be reviewed and transmitted by e-mail. All requests for clarification must be in writing. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested respondents who do not have access to e-mail or who are not able to use e-mail, and wish to provide a Statement of Qualifications, may request in writing that correspondence be provided by conventional mail. The Atlantic County Improvement Authority reserves the right to reject any or all submissions received in response to this Request for Qualifications. Shortlist Confirmed.
