Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The District Community Development District (District or CDD), located in the City of Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, hereby announces that it is soliciting proposals to provide labor, materials, equipment and construction services in connection with the development of Phase 1 (DCSB Parking Lot) of the Districts capital improvement plan. The land within the District is being developed into a 32-acre mixed-use development, which is intended to revitalize the South Bank area along the St. Johns River in the City of Jacksonville. The Projects (defined herein) will deliver public infrastructure for the mixed-use development and are intended to include roadways, parking facilities, utilities, earthwork and environmental improvements, stormwater management improvements, bulkhead improvements, landscaping, signage, lighting, and other similar infrastructure. The Projects include public infrastructure for the District (CDD Project), as well as public infrastructure for the City of Jacksonville Downtown Investment Authority (CRA Project, together with the CDD Project, Projects). Presently, the District is only soliciting proposals for Phase 1 of the Projects, which Phase 1 consists of constructing, among other things, certain parking lot and access improvements, as shown in the Districts Construction Plans for Duval Public Schools School Board Parking Lot Bid Set To be eligible to submit a proposal, and in addition to any other requirements set forth in the Project Manual, an interested firm must hold all required local, state and federal licenses in good standing, and be authorized to do business in the City of Jacksonville, Duval County and the State of Florida. The purpose of the special meeting will be to announce the names of the proposers and pricing. No decisions of the Districts Board of Supervisors (Board) will be made at that time. A copy of the agenda for the meeting can be obtained from Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., the District Engineer, at DistrictPhase1RFP@kimley-horn.com. The meeting is open to the public and will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Florida law. Due to the current COVID-19 public health emergency, the District fully encourages public participation in a safe and efficient manner. To that end, the meeting will be conducted in accordance with CD C guidelines. Further, participants may attend the meeting telephonically by dialing 1-904-828-3900. At the above location will be present a speaker telephone so that any Board Supervisor or staff member or the public can attend the meeting and be fully informed of the discussions taking place either in person or by telephone communication. The meeting may be continued in progress without additional notice to a time, date, and location stated on the record. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, make modifications to the work, award the contracts in whole or in part with or without cause, and waive minor or technical irregularities in any Proposal, as it deems appropriate, and if the District determines in its discretion that it is in the Districts best interests to do so.
