Project title: Addition of a water heater, room C-1412, Lev. 1 - Marie-Berthe-Couture Residential Center Public body: CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS Facility targeted by the project: Marie-Berthe-Couture residential center located at 230, rue Davignon, Granby (Quebec) J2G 9B1 Brief description of the work: The project consists, without being limited to it, of installing a Camus model UG180H1104 water heater including: the supply and commissioning of a new boiler and its control network; the removal (by cutting) and disposal of the existing obsolete and perforated steel electric water heater; the modifications required to the domestic water, drainage and natural gas pipes as shown on the plans, including the appropriate insulation; insulation of existing uninsulated piping; the new sealed combustion air intakes and the new wall outlets for the new kettle; Integration of domestic hot water system controls with centralized building controls; replacement of the humidifier diffuser system in the main ventilation duct; the replacement of the existing controller with a new one in the existing panel allowing the integration of the controls of the domestic hot water network; the connection of the existing control points in the new controller; the installation of a temporary cold water recirculation loop to maintain the hot water network in order to limit the risks of Legionella contamination; temporary removal of heating equipment (pump, pipes and accessories); the modification (extension) of the existing concrete cleanliness base; disconnection of the existing electric water heater and all electrical accessories connected to it; the supply and installation of a new transformer and a new emergency electrical panel to supply the new boiler; disconnection and reconnection of equipment to allow the passage of new equipment; grounding the natural gas inlet; certain work to remove insulated piping (bends) with asbestos. Note that the construction area (mechanical room) is directly accessible from the outside. Contacts with staff and users will then be very limited or even non-existent (with the exception of the mobilization of large components which may be transported through the corridor on the ground floor before 6:30 in the morning). Completion time: 6 weeks. A contractor holding a restricted license issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec or registered in the register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts (RENA) and whose period of ineligibility for public contracts has not ended, is not eligible to submit a bid; these two cases of inadmissibility also apply to the tenderer's subcontractors. Tenderers are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their tender; and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses.
