Bids may be held by City of Lumberton for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the complete and functional improvements of the proposed project as shown on the contract plans and specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to the following: Channel Improvements Traffic control as required, including all barricades, signs, and traffic handling. Remove vegetation and other obstructions from the channel from East Chance Road crossing to the Hwy 96 crossing. Shape and grade the existing channel profile, side slopes, and overbanks as shown in the construction plans. Construction of the concrete lined channel with reinforcement and tie-in to crossings with the construction of wingwalls. Connect all proposed RCPs to the proposed concrete lined channel as shown in the construction plans. Seed all disturbed channel sides and banks upon completion of excavation and embankment activities. Furnish and install erosion protection materials at the HWY 96 and East Chance crossings and along the top of installed concrete lined channel.
