The following is the "Scope of Work" for the site work to be completed by the selected contractor at 133 West Union Street Ashland Massachusetts to be included in the proposal. The term "crawl space" is used for the area for the site work rear of the barn 16'x 40' Backfill and secure the abandoned well next to the left wall foundation Rebuild the stone foundation in two (2) locations in designated crawl space area Do restoration on crawl space area of barn floor and sills as follows: Remove and replace 16' of sill on both sides of the back area of the barn. Remove and replace 40' of sill on back side of barn Remove and Install 2" x 12' plank flooring to the back 16 Ft x 40 Ft of barn floor Bidder will use appropriate building materials for the reconstruction/replacement of an historical barn. The winning bidder will also provide 2 references referring to projects that are similar in scope. Bidder will provide any and all necessary licenses, insurances and bonds as may be required by the Town of Ashland. If the amount of the bid is in excess of $25,000 a 50% payment bond is required. A timeline will be submitted with the application and will need to be approved by the Town. The lowest responsible bidder will be awarded the contract in the interest of the Town.
