Renovation of a fire / police facility in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Marshalls Creek Fire Station Renovations - Roof Replacement consists of removal and replacement of architectural asphalt composition shingles and EPDM flat roof for the fire station roof. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of insurance and furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated amount, and in such form as meets the approval of the Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are listed on the U.S. Treasures Circular 570 and authorized to perform services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, prior to award of a contract, in accordance with the Public Works Contractor's Bond Law of 1967 (the "Law"), Act of December 20, 1967, P.L. 869,8 P.S. 191 et Seq., or irrevocable letter of credit satisfactory to the Township, and in accordance with the Law. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. This project is also subject to applicable provisions of the "Pennsylvania Human Relations Act", Act of 1955, P.L., No. 222, as amended June 25, 1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. &&951-963. The Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012) applies to the project. As a precondition of letting any contract, the successful bidder must file a form with the Township verifying that all employees hired after January 1, 2013 are legally eligible to work in this country. The project is being funded, in whole or part, through a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority, Local Share Account Grant Contract. Requirements of the grant contract shall be applicable to the successful bidder, and deemed incorporated into any contract awarded by the Township for the project. Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, color, handicap, national origin, age or sex. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of 60 days, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to the end of this period. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informalities, irregularities, or technicalities, including typographical errors, in the bids, and to accept bids and award contracts in the best interests of the Township.
