ELIGIBILITY: For the purposes of awarding the contract, only tenders are authorized by general contractors holding the license required under the Building Act (LRQ, cB-1.1). Tenderers must present a tender bond of an amount equal to 10% of the tender valid for a period of 90 days following the date of opening of tenders, or a certified check in the amount of equal to 10% of the tender valid for a period of 120 days and, possibly exchanged at the signing of the contract for a performance guarantee and a guarantee of the obligations for pledges, materials and services, in the form of a bond each representing an equal amount at 50% of the contract price and for a period extending from the start of the contract up to twelve (12) months following the completion certificate. Only bonds issued by companies licensed as an insurer in Canada will be accepted under the tender documents.
