New construction of a clubhouse / community center in Sarnia, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center.
Construction of an indoor multi-purpose recreation facility. Scope to include: turf field; community room and meeting space; washroom; change rooms; walking track; field viewing area; office; concession/seating area; storage/utility. room. Possible locations include: Lottie Neely Park; the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park; and Germain Park. TIMELINE: Concept plan and project recommendations were presented to council and approved February 2022. A Consultant was retained to do site assessments for several potential sites; whether or not a final site has been selected is unconfirmed at this time. Further update late 2025. Budget is estimated at $26.4 million to $33.3 million.
