The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower-tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of the Town of Amherstburg is just over 21,000. The Town is seeking Tenders from qualified contractors to construct the Lemay-Cookson Pumpworks, Flood Protection Works and the Lemay-Cookson Branch Drain on Sari Lane comprising of a stormwater pumping station (5 HP non-clog submersible sewage pump and appurtenances), 268 metres of 300 mm diameter storm sewer, 13 catchbasins, interlocking concrete block flood protection barrier system (386 metres long) and associated earth berms, wildlife exclusion fencing, sediment and erosion control measures, road shoulder works, grading and restoration of lawns and driveways.
