Renovation of a mixed-use development in County of Barrhead No. 11, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
*Work is complete. The County of Barrhead operates water systems in the hamlets of Neerlandia and Manola, the Kiel and MacGill subdivisions, and two regional water supply lines. As facilities were upgraded and constructed, SCADA control systems have been implemented for monitoring and control. The County is seeking to integrate all current systems into one common control system, upgrade outdated software and hardware, and expand the monitoring and control systems at existing sites. The summary of the work at each site is as follows: Public Works SCADA Control Update current software, licenses, and hardware Add remote monitoring ability through smartphone or tablet Neerlandia Water Distribution Plant Update hardware Neerlandia Regional Water Line Booster Station Integrate existing SCADA into main monitoring system Install instrumentation for automatic chlorine injection Northplex Fire Pump Station Integrate existing SCADA into main monitoring system Manola Water Distribution Plant Set up new monitoring system including: Pressure sensors Flow meters Water Level detector PLC install and set up Integration into main SCADA system
