Estimate Range: Between $5 million and $10 million For The Planting of New and Replacement Street Trees in Community Boards 3 and 6. This contract provides for famishing all labor, materials and equipment together with all work incidental thereto necessary or required for the Planting of New and Replacement Street Trees Community Boards 3 & 6 in the Borough of Manhattan, known as Contract Number MG-1219M. This work includes removal of stumps over 8" up to and including 36" in diameter and dead trees over 8" up to and including 24" in diameter; saw cutting and removal of concrete for new tree beds; excavation (this includes removal of stumps up to and including 8" diameter and trees up to 8" diameter.) and preparation of all tree beds; famishing, planting, transplanting, maintaining and replacing various types of trees in prepared new, existing and lawn beds; removal of debris within tree beds and tree canopies; removal of concrete or granite block pavement from within tree beds with existing trees; removal of existing tree grates and tree guards; expansion of tree beds with existing trees (includes saw cutting and removal of existing pavement; excavation, furnishing, mixing, and placing topsoil in tree beds; watering tree); placement of topsoil for existing tree areas with existing trees (not included under the expansion item); protecting with ground cover protection; reconstruct lawn; placement of shredded bark mulch on tree beds with existing trees; erection of steel tree bed guards; installation of granite block pavers; installation of concrete pavement without base and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with sketches and specifications to the satisfaction of the Project Manager. The above enumeration of the general scheme is not to be construed as including all items and operations necessary for the completion of work under this contract. All work done under this contract shall be done in strict accordance with these specifications for work and materials, and as directed by the Project Manager. All work done under this contract should abide by all pertinent city regulations and ordinances.
