As of October 2022, this project is under construction and nearing completion. **As of April 14, 2021, this project has been awarded to J Hunt Enterprises in the amount of $4,834,642.85. Project includes the construction of an elevated restroom building, elevated bath house/restroom building, picnic shelters, walking trail, RV campgrounds, asphalt paving, cement concrete pavement, water services and distribution, onsite sewage disposal systems, signage and landscaping as outlined in the plans, specifications and all other accompanying contract documents. This project is scheduled to start construction on Monday, March 8th, 2021. One Hundred (127) days are allowed for the construction of the project. All bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications and submitted in its entirety. The right is reserved to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of said Contract. Liquidated damages for non-completion of the work within the time limit agreed upon will be assessed in accordance with the terms of the Contract. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly licensed and qualified to submit a proposal for this construction in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama, as required by Chapter 8 of Title 34, of the Code of Alabama, 1975. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in the State of Alabama.
