Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Pine River, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,894-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This bid is projected to be awarded 3/16/2021 per the owner. This Geotechnical Evaluation Report addresses the design and construction of the proposed bleachers, located at the Pine River - Backus High School in Pine River, Minnesota. It is understood the existing bleachers have been razed and will be replaced with a new bleacher structure at the same location. The proposed bleachers are a 12 row aluminum structure supported on a cast-in-place, concrete, monolithic slab and footing, with a bearing pressure of 2,000 psf. A press box is planned for the top of the bleacher. The original proposal included hand auger borings extending to native soils. The architect was later informed that an excavator would be onsite to remove the existing bleacher foundations. After discussions with Mr. Karl Flier of Pine River - Backus Schools, it was determined that a test pit observation of the existing bleacher pad would be performed.
