The deadline for questions is February 3, 2021 @ 5pm and all questions can be submitted via email to Andy Kern at akern@gaveldorn.com This project consists the construction of approximately 52 point repairs to 8-inch sanitary sewer, repairs to sewer service connections all located in the public right-of-way, pipe bursting approximately 54 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer, relaying approximately 350 of 8-inch gravity sewer, and installing a gravity sewer cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner in approximately 44,800 LF of 8-inch and 1,000 LF of 12-inch gravity sewer line. Work will include pipeline cleaning, installation of the CIPP liner, post-lining inspection and product testing for the gravity sewer system located in the public right-of-way's and maintained sewer easements within the Berea PSD system. Construction activities within the road rights-of-way include both SCDOT and Greenville County road systems. All requirements of standard encroachments with each agency will be a requirement for completing this work. Neither the State of South Carolina nor the United States nor any of their Departments, Agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. The contract will be subject to regulations contained in Federal Register, Section 40 CFR.31 where applicable. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must certify that they have performed prior work in compliance with Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375. Furthermore, where applicable Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours and minority-owned businesses. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than five percent (5%) of amount of bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids or an individual bid as provided in Item 8, Information for Bidders, and to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bid. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered.
