Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Linden, California. Completed plans call civil work for a water pump station.
This section includes a description of bid items, measurement and payment procedures. The Contractor shall submit bids on the basis of unit costs or on a lump sum basis including add alternate bid items, as itemized in the Bid Form provided in the Contract Documents. The District's payment for work completed with each application for payment shall be made based on the Contractor's schedule of values submitted after the contract award. The Contractor must provide the District with an acceptable schedule of values for all items of work for this project, before application for payment can be made by the District. Payment will not be made for materials delivered but not installed unless the materials are stored in a fully bonded and insured commercial storage facility. All measurements will be based upon completed work performed in strict accordance with the San Joaquin County Improvement Standards and Construction Specifications and these Technical Specifications. Unit cost and lump sum bid amounts shall be all inclusive and include everything necessary for the completion of construction of the bid item and the fulfillment of the Work including, but not limited to, furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, plant, and other facilities, and all management, superintendence, labor, required testing, permits and other necessary services. Unit price and lump sum bid prices shall also include allowance for all federal, state and local taxes and profit and shall include the cost for compliance with applicable permits and compliance
