The Elkcam Boulevard Paved Shoulders Segment 1 is located in the City of Deltona. This project includes milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway and construction of 6-foot shoulders (5-foot paved) along Elkcam Boulevard between Sylvia Drive and Fort Smith Boulevard. Project elements include intermittent sidewalk improvements, driveway reconstruction, minor drainage improvements, detectable warning surface installation, signage, installation of raised pavement markers, thermoplastic pavement markings, and construction of boarding and alighting areas at existing bus stop locations. Additionally, mobilization, maintenance of traffic (MOT), erosion control, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, and sodding are also included as part of this project. Bid Security will be submitted and shall be made payable to City in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder's Contract Price, and in the form of a certified or cashier's check or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety company having a registered agent in the State of Florida. Personal checks are not acceptable. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each with good and sufficient surety, and each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price. These Bonds shall be recorded with the clerk of the circuit court of the county where the Project is located no later than the Date of Commencement of the Contract Time. The Contractor must add the County of Volusia as Co-obligee on the performance bond in the amount of $100,000. Last Day for Questions: February 9, 2021 by 5:00 P.M. City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and reserve the right to disregard all non-conforming, non- responsive, or conditional Bids. Bids may be considered irregular and subject to rejection if, in the opinion of the City, they show serious omission, unauthorized alternations, unauthorized alternate Bids, incomplete or unbalanced unit prices, or irregularities of any kind.
