Alexandria City Public Schools is seeking responses from qualified Bidders for Fire Protection System Upgrades at the Dee Campbell Rowing Facility Substantial Completion 05/06/21 The purpose of the non-mandatory pre-bid tele conference is for potential Bidders to ask preliminary questions and to obtain clarifications about any aspect of this ITB. As a result of COVID-19 and the need for social distancing, we will discuss the coordination of groups of 10 consisting of 1 ACPS Procurement Rep and 1 ACPS Project Manager and 8 potential Bidders an opportunity to tour the site as follows. Repair of minor items associated with the existing fire suppression system, which includes the following: 1) Provide electronic supervision of all existing fire suppression system control valves. 2) Provide waterflow alarm devices on the existing fire suppression system that will be electronically monitored by the fire alarm system. 3) Provide high/low air pressure switch on the existing fire suppression system and monitor electronically by the fire alarm system. 4) Replacement of existing undersized air compressor with new air compressor sized in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements. 5) Replacement of existing non-functioning water motor gong with electric bell connected to the fire alarm system. c. Repair of minor items associated with the existing means of egress which includes the following: 1) Repair of guard on Second Floor mezzanine. 2) Replacement of glazing in First Floor exit stair fire door. 3) Replacement of electric strike door hardware on First and Second Floor exit stair fire doors.
