Pedestrian Safety Improvements a 5 Intersections in the City of Rensselaer The proposed project is located within the City ofRensselaer, Rensselaer County, New York. This project is being progressed through the New York State Statewide Pedestrian Safety Action Plan under PIN 1760.94. Construction will be in strict conformance with all NYSDOT and Federal Aid Requirements and governed by the NYSDOT Standard Specifications Section 100 - General Provisions and Section 200 thru 700 - Technical Specifications. The City of Rensselaer has included specific provisions and requirements, which are included in the project manual. Should there be any discrepancies between NYSDOT and the City of Rensselaer requirements, the more stringent shall apply There is a 6% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Utilization Goal for this project. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: The project is a pedestrian safety project located at (5) intersections throughout the City of Rensselaer. The (5) intersections are as follows; Washington Ave/7,h St, Broadway/Partition St, Broadway/Pine St, Broadway/McNaughton Ave, and 3rd St/Catherine St. Included in the project are the construction of new curb ramps, pedestrian signals, and new/updated pavement striping.
