The Borough of Orwigsburg will receive sealed bids for Brick Masonry Repair, Replacement and Repointing for Orwigsburg Borough Hall, 209 North Warren Street, Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania 17961. Owner assumes no responsibility for bids mailed out but not received within the specified time or designated location. The Council will meet to accept bids, refer to committee, award or reject bids, at a regularly scheduled Borough Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 10, 2021. The work consists of a single prime contract. Work includes Brick Masonry Repair, Replacement and Repointing for all elevations and chimney of the Orwigsburg Borough Hall and other related work items. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Orwigsburg, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount of ten (10%) percent of the total of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. All requests for Bid Documents must be in writing, with the following information contained thereon: 1) Specific Bid Document(s) requested (Contract Name, Description, etc.), 2) Bidders name, complete street address and contact person, 3) Bidders telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin, or handicap. The Borough of Orwigsburg notifies all bidders that it will encourage that DBE/MBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. The owner may hold bids for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids an investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
