Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Humboldt, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes water main replacement with removal and abandonment along the highway and side streets, including hydrants and valves. Additionally, there will be storm sewer improvements along the Highway and roadway reconstruction of 6" asphalt with rock subbase on 4th Ave N, as well as some minor storm intake and sanitary sewer improvements. Work also includes two highway crossings and patches, driveway and sidewalk tie-in replacements, and all other miscellaneous work to complete the project. Payment of the cost of said project will be made f rom such cash funds of the City as may be legally used for said purpose at the discretion of the City, including but not limited to, the net revenues of the Street Department, the proceeds f rom the sale of Revenue or General Obligation Bonds, and/or the proceeds f rom the sale of warrants, as authorized by Section 384.57 of the Code of Iowa, made payable from any or all of the above-mentioned sources. The Contractor will be paid ninety-five per cent (95%) of the Engineer's estimate of the value of acceptable work completed at the end of the preceding month. Final payment will be made not less than thirty-one (31) days after completion of the work and acceptance by the City, subject to the conditions and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 573 of the Code of Iowa. The work on this project shall commence within ten (10) days after receipt by the contractor of a written notice to proceed. All work shall be substantially completed by September 3, 2021, subject to any changes in the contract period as provided for in these specifications.
